Mobile marketing has become more than a passing trend; it has forever changed the way in which consumers are marketed to and has helped to close the gap between advertisers and their target audience. The industry has become much more instant; we contact people instantly, obtain information instantly and demand results instantly. QR codes and mobile marketing has made it possible to market and meet consumer needs faster than ever.

When I’m not working, I make sure to take a step back from the hectic nature of the marketing industry – there are some things in life that are worth waiting for, less instant, and my family is one of them. As a working parent, I understand the important of quality family time – in those instances, I’m not such a big fan of the stream of commercial text message advertisements and promotions that flood my phone; it’s a double-edged sword in some ways; but southern values rule my home and I never use my phone at the dinner table or during family game night!
